How Can severe Rashes On The Arms Be Treated?

My husband has been using finasteride for many years. He has developed rashes on his arms. Was told that stopping the Med may impede his ability to urinate. He has congestive heart condition and takes diabetics. Will stopping finasteride complicate his urine?

Hi,

There are various medication necessary for various problems. Your husband may be having a prostatic problem so he may be using that medicine. The rashes have various causes.

I suggest my patients take an opinion of their physician before taking any medicines and before leaving or stopping any medicine. Stopping would lead to various problems. I suggest you consult your treating physician and get an opinion regarding both rash and the Finasteride. It would lead to urinary problems coming back.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammad Azhar Hussain,
